It is hot here at the PEI offices.  I have been feeling the upturn in business and the hot days.  Speaking of hot days if you are not watering your foundation here in Houston now and for the last copule of weeks then you are probably behind.  I office out of a rather small building and the soil dried sufficiently to cause differential settlment affecting my entry door.  The door would not latch two days ago.  I turned on my watering system at a slow rate and left it for 48 hours and it is nearly back to normal, but not quite.  The soil can be very reactive if you get to it quickly.  Just goes to show you even if you know what should be done, it does not work unless you do it.
