I thought it would be interesting to look at the numbers for TREC licensed professional inspectors based upon the latest posted numbers in the montly staff reports found on the TREC web site. The numbers I looked at are for April of this year as May and June are not yet posted.

The number of TREC licensed Professional Inspectors dropped for a high of 4,001 in April of last year to 3,374 this year.  That is a whopping 16% drop in licensees.  That is a lot of people who worked hard to get a license and have let it expire.  We also saw a 37% drop in apprentice inspectors and a 21% drop in inspectors which are required to work under an professional inspectors supervision.
