Information you need to know to set up an inspection.
It's a good idea to know what type of inspection you need first. If you are not sure, you might check out our descriptions page to see if there is a type of inspection that might fit your needs. If you have any questions or do not see anything that looks like it will provide the information you need, contact us. We are more than willing to discuss your specific needs.
Additional Information We Must Have:
  • What is the approximate value?
  • What is the approximate square footage as close as possible?
  • What is the approximate age of the building?
  • What type of foundation?
  • What is the address of the property to be inspected?
  • Is there a garage apartment or quarters?
  • Are there any out buildings you would like to have inspected?
  • How many air-conditioners are there?
  • Is there a pool/hot tub or any special equipment to be inspected?
Having this information available should make you more prepared to discuss the home you would like to have inspected. Without it we will not be able to provide you with accurate pricing data.

This information should also be useful even if you choose not to select Professional Engineering Inspections, Inc. as your inspection company.  Be leery of those who don't require detailed information as they are less likely to provide a detailed report.

Additional Information We Like To Have:
  • How many stories?
  • What is the number of bedrooms and baths?
  • Is the house on a septic system, or city sewer?
  • Does the house have a well, or is it supplied by city water?
  • Any other special information.
This information helps us to better serve your needs. We can point out aspects of the inspections we do not perform, as well as provide you with information on other assets you should have inspected and why.

Important Tips:

The "MLS" listing sheet you received from your realtor should contain most of the details you will need.
